Just being a Mom Lately

The last couple of weeks I've not had too much to post about. I don't think you want to see pictures of a sink full of dishes, a pile of laundry that needs to be washed (or folded) or my daily "things 2 do" list of the everyday household duties I'm responsible for.

One of my biggest challenges of being a mom lately is that of being a referee to Forrest and Sadie. Their hormones are driving me crazy! Sadie can't breathe without Forrest telling her to "STOP!" Forrest really can't stand his little sister these days. They argue over the most stupid things and nick-pick each other to death. Each of them must have to have the last word in the conversation too. And when I correct their behavior, the first thing out of their mouths is, "Sadie did it first" or "Forrest did it and didn't get in trouble", etc. If you have teenagers, you know exactly what I'm talking about! I'm 37 and haven't found a gray hair yet, but I'm positive that won't last much longer!

I know what you mean. Being the mom of teenagers is not for wimps.
I find myself counting down the days until DS#2 heads off to college far too often.

WHAT!?!!! You haven't found a grey hair yet? So unfair! My greys are multiplying like rabbits, grrrr.

Are you reading the scriptures daily and having your family prayers? When things get tough, it's time to do the inventory of spiritual items. Home Evenings? Remember the promise of keeping your children if you have HE.
I'm sorry the kids are at each other, but see what you can do to bring harmony back. Love you lots! Mom

Well, wasn't part of your college degree for being a P.E. teacher learning how to be a referee? ;)
Hang in there. "This too shall pass!"

I know this is no comfort to you, but it's nice to know that I am not alone! Josh and Megan just can NOT get along, and I'm so tired of listening to the two of them!! If you strike upon a magic formula for your two, please shrare with the rest of us! ;)
